When the BP oil rig exploded on April 20 killing 11 workers and dumping several thousand gallons of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico, many people saw it for the tragedy that it was. However, it seems that this story is not yet over. Several weeks later BP is still unable to control the leak and the oil slick is continuing to grow and move closer to the coast. In an effort to understand what happened to cause this disaster, as well as bring the situation under control, the US Congress began its official hearing yesterday. It is uncertain how long it will take to question all of the top executives and investigate the specifics of the case, but they will certainly have their work cut out for them as no one is willing to accept the blame.
