If you want a different view of the San Francisco neighborhoods, there are a number of strange and interesting tours that you can take that will give you a new view on the city. One of the best known unusual tours of the city is Mr. Toad’s Tours . Part of why they are so well known, besides being able to do things that few other tours can is that they are a green company. While some tourists might not care, there are a number of locals who do, and whom would not give them the recommendation without it. However, that is not why they are the best known.
The whole thing is reminiscent of an earlier time. This includes vintage tour cars that are specially made so that they can go up and down some of the largest hills in the area. One of the problems a lot of bus tours have is that the bus can not make it up these hills. This means that there are now large parts of the city that have become accessible to you. You can choose from a number of tours that take up various amounts of time.
There is the overview tour, called the “Hop Around the City Tour”. It gives a good ninety minute tour around the whole city. Last time I was in San Francisco was for my cousin’s wedding, and I remember my cousin saying that some of the larger vehicles can’t go up the steeper hills.
